Organic Architecture

A Two-Person Exhibition by Ray Gonzalez & Alvar Jacomet

October 01 – November 30, 2025
Ingleside Gallery at Ballast Coffee, 329 W. Portal Ave, San Francisco

Organic Architecture features new works by Ray Gonzalez and Alvar Jacomet, two artists exploring the relationships between human-made structures and the natural world.

Ray Gonzalez (he/they) is a Bay Area linoleum printmaker whose practice centers on healing connections within the community and nature. With a background in theatrical production, Ray builds intricate botanical scenes that merge design and organic form, inviting reflection on how we shape—and are shaped by—our surroundings.

Alvar Jacomet (he/him) is an American-Argentinian painter whose acrylic works draw inspiration from the architecture of San Francisco. Using everyday materials to add texture and depth, Alvar reinterprets familiar urban forms into layered abstractions that reflect on how built environments evolve over time.

Together, their works present a grounded dialogue between growth and construction, gesture and structure, and the fluid boundaries between what is made and what emerges.
